Configuration of Check Point VPN Connection to the TUNET Network for Linux OS
Before connecting to the VPN on a Linux operating system, you need to configure the Check Point client called SSL Network Extender. Before configuration, Linux requires the installation of Java, specific tools, and libraries. Please follow Check Point’s requirements listed on this page:
The following software must be installed:
- Java – Oracle JRE 8 or Oracle OpenJDK 11
- Tools
- certutil (Mozilla NSS tools)
- openssl
- xterm
- Libraries – dependent on the distribution


Note: The following guide was created on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
Check Java installation: java -version

If it is missing, install the package: sudo apt install default-jre

In the following steps, the other packages and libraries mentioned above:
sudo apt-get install libnss3-tools openssl xterm

sudo apt install libpam0g:i386 libx11-6:i386 libstdc++6:i386 libstdc++5:i386

After installing all the packages, reboot the system.

Once rebooted, open a web browser and go to:
A login window will appear. Enter your credentials using your unique login and password.

Then download and save the Mobile Access Portal Agent script (cshell_install.sh).


First, change the access rights to allow the execution and running of this shell script.
sudo sh ./cshell_install.sh

You can reconnect via https://remote.tuke.sk and confirm the CheckPoint Mobile Access Portal Agent prompts.


Upon successful configuration, your connection to the TUKE network via VPN will be established.
