Technical Resources, Multimedia, Operations and Dispatching Department

The Technical Resources, Multimedia, Operations and Dispatching Department provides activities in the following areas:

  • Communication infrastructure – passive part:
    • design, implementation and operation of optical and metallic infrastructure of the TUNET computer network on the main TUKE campus
    • design, implementation and operation of the CANET (Cassoviensis Academic Network) optical infrastructure through which the network integration of TUKE workplaces located outside the main TUKE campus at Letná 9 is ensured (Grešákova, Mäsiarska, campus of the Faculty of Aeronautics, university dormitories at Jedlíkova)
  • Operation of data centers and distribution centers of the TUNET computer network:
    • technical provision of operating conditions in data and network distribution centers in TU buildings (power backup, air conditioning, camera surveillance and processing of outputs from monitoring their operation) 
  • Computer technology service:
    • maintenance, repairs and consulting activities for PC technology at ICT, Rectorate, university-wide workplaces of TU and on request also for faculty workplaces
  • Identification cards for students and employees
    • issuing, exchanging and renewing identity cards for TUKE employees and students
  • Client software at the TU Rectorate, at university-wide workplaces and on request also at faculty workplaces
    • installation of client software
    • removing malicious software from client workstations
    • solving non-standard requests and consulting activities
  • Other activities
    • receipt of user requests, their immediate solving or their assignment for processing to other ICT organizational units
    • generating access passwords to the Central Authentication System (CAS) for TU students and employees
