Operations and Information Systems Integration Department

The Operations and Information Systems Integration Department ensures the operation of:

  • SAP R/3 economic information system
    • standard base support of operation within the Sofia project for public universities
    • SAP R/3 installation for TUKE end users
    • assignment of access rights to users according to the requests of module guarantors
  • Cognos portal
    • support of pedagogical management of the university - statistics of the admission procedure and students over the data from MAIS IS
    • statistical evaluation of student surveys
    • generating accommodation and student cards for the needs of study and accommodation departments
    • automatic update of reports via the Cognos Scheduler
    • option to automatically send reports by email in various output formats
  • TUKE portal
    • TUKE web portal
    • support in creating faculty web portals
  • TUKE Helpdesk
    • processing operational requests of users of all systems
  • TUKE Moodle
    • teaching support – creation of electronic courses and tests
  • SALTO system
    • managing the access of employees via ramps to individual parking areas of the university and to office doors

The department has analyzed, independently developed and successfully operates:

  • Cards IS
    • issuing employee and student cards
    • data exports for CKM, TransData (transport) and TUKE internal IS
    • mobile application for identification of TUKE students and employees
  • Register of Persons
    • generating a unique identifier of the person at TUKE
    • solving conflicts in the data of persons
  • Internal TUKE Phone Directory
    • publishing current work phone numbers and email addresses of employees on the web
  • Access System – ramps
    • managing access of employees through the ramps of student dormitories and office doors
  • TUKE Key System
    • electronic record of keys issued at receptions
    • electronic records of visits and loans
  • TUKE Risk and Opportunity Register
    • information system for the support of the quality management system (QMS)
    • ensures registration and easier identification of risks/opportunities within the QMS processes at TUKE and subsequently their more effective solving/use

According to the requests of the university, the department provides development, modernization and subsequent technical support on all operated systems either in cooperation with the vendor or using its own resources.
