Microsoft Authenticator Verification via SMS Manage login methods
Microsoft Authenticator
After signing in to Microsoft 365, you may be prompted to enable multi-factor authentication. Select “Next”:
Then, download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device (the app is available for all mobile platforms). After downloading and installing the app, select “Next”.
To secure your account, enable notifications on your mobile device and select Work or School. Then select “Next”:
In the mobile app, press the button to scan QR codes:
And scan the QR code (1.), then select “Next”:
Enter the code that will be generated for you in the mobile application and select “Yes”:
Then select “Next”:
Your multi-factor authentication has been set up. Confirm it by selecting “Done”:
Once you sign in, you can start using Microsoft 365 apps.
WARNING: You may be signed out of all your devices!
Verification via SMS
If you are unable to set up Microsoft Authenticator for technical reasons, or if you do not have a device that allows you to install this application, you can use SMS verification. If Microsoft prompts you to secure your account, select the option “I want to set up a different method”:
Then select the “Phone” option:
Select the country “Slovakia (+421)” and enter your phone number (1.). Then select the option “Receive code” (2.) and the option “Next” (3.):
Then enter the code from Microsoft via SMS into field (1.):
Select “Next”:
Confirm the setting with the “Done” button:
Manage login methods
If you are interested in changing, modifying or adding your verification method, you can make this change on the office.com portal after logging in with your unique TUKE login and password. Then, in the lower left corner, click on your photo (1.) and select the option “View account” (2.).
Then select the “Security Information” option:
If you want to add a security method, select the option “Add a login method” (1.). If you want to edit the current login method, select the option “Change” (2.). If you want to remove a login method, select the option “Delete” (3.):
If you selected “Add”, select another sign-in method, such as Microsoft Authenticator:
